won't start

Asked by Fred Aug 15, 2016 at 10:13 AM about the 2003 Chrysler Town & Country

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No lights anywhere. including dash.  Engine turns over but doesn't want to
start. Battery was dead and I charged it but still won't start. Also seems
battery will be drained over a short time.  Battery new.

Have you tried jumping it? Still no start? Check the battery harness for shorts, a big drain like that means a big short somewhere. Have the alternator tested, it may be internally shorted. If the lights are inoperative even when car is jumped, you may have a blown fuse or fuses, or a blown fusible link.

Hi Fred Mine is doing the same thing. Did you ever figure out the issue. Thanks
