When checking fluid level after transmission get hot you can't touch fluid level
on stick but when cold it will show

Sounds like it’s in gear when checking hot. It must be park or neutral. Also if the fluid is clean it might be hard to see when hot, if this is the case I paint the end of the dipstick white this really helps with seeing the exact level hot.
