Would a 1997 460 EFI motor bolt up to 1995 F250 trans

Asked by Jun 05, 2017 at 10:31 PM about the 1995 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1997 F250 VIN: 2fthf26h4scaxxxxx (last 5 digits crossed out).It has a 5.8L motor but the VIN Decoder doesn't specify the trans but it should be E4OD. Correct? Will the 460 from a 1997 F450 drop in and bolt up to the E4OD? From what I've been able to find, the 97 F450 with 460 motor should have had an E4OD trans. Can I just drop this in?
Thanks,
John
