My 1995 F-150's problem starting

I'm unable to start when my fuel tank switch (I have two tanks) is on the front tank, and I have a quarter of a tank of gas in it. When I switch to the rear tank it starts. While it idles, I switch to the front tank and it stalls. What's the problem? Thanks.

Sounds like a fuel pump issue. Turn on your key and listen for the pump to whine.If it does, the you should try putting a pressure gauge on the test port on your manifold to see if the pressure is up to spec.
