Acceleration

Asked by Angler444 Aug 09, 2018 at 04:07 AM about the 1996 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I press the throttle, it accelerates properly,
but the truck won't move. It's like the truck is in
neutral. It shifts properly, Ive replaced the throttle
position sensor, and I haven't reset the throttle
body. I'm hoping it's not transmission issues
because I have a limited budget. I haven't checked
the transmission fluid level, my radiator fluid will be
replaced tomorrow. The engine oil is on level, there
is no grinding, no stalling, no struggle. It just won't
move.

If the engine revs but the vehicle will not move when in gear, suspect the transmission.
