Hi my name is Gage. I drive a 1996 f 150 xl straight
six five speed I have problems with it no wanting
start back up after I drive in warmer weather if y’all
could help it would be appreciated
Make sure the little purge fan is fully operational, it blows air down the injection tube tunnel when it gets too a predetermined temp, it's towards the back of the engine on the passenger side. It prevents fuel percolation during hot weather. I had a Bronco with the inline fuel injected 6 and my fan quit working and boy was it hard to start when it got hot outside, replaced the fan and hard start went away.
Could it be the fuel pump?
A fuel system pressure test would tell you, but I doubt that is it.
