Rough acceleration

I have a acceleration problem, idle is good,
replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter about 2
months ago, when I press accelerator it vibrates
and falls on its face, has 217,000 miles, don’t know
the history, bought from friend, and no codes that I
know of, can you help?

I previously stated that on my Mazda 3, a computer reset or battery cable disconnect led to stalling and lurching. I let it sit on idle for 20 minutes and computer readjusted. Otherwise, computer can think car is new. just a guess

Bad coils are common on Triton engines but are an easy fix. Is the check engine light on?

I would have it scanned anyway. When was the last time you install new spark plugs?

I bought this from a co worker, not sure maintenance history, only happens when I accelerate, idle is good
