2001 F150 not starting after dis/re-connecting battery

My check engine light was on and it had a miss. My battery cables were corroded so i thought maybe it was them. I pulled them off wiped them off and reconnected them. I try to start my truck now and all it does is rapidly click and the gauges sweep across. with the key turned to the on position it sounds like it primes..stops..primes.. over and over. while its doing this the radio comes on and off constantly.  The truck never had a problem except the miss before this

check your relays sounds like there is an intermittent problem in the staring system also check the starter cables and the starter solenoid.

It seems like the battery is completely dead but a minute later it has power again. All i get is rapid clicking when i try to start it and clicking from under the dash

Well i disconnected the battery again and left it for about 15 minutes, went back out connected it and started right up. No check engine light anymore or missing

all you did was clear the code out of the computer,it will through the code back in,and you will have the same problem again.,when it comes back on have it scaned to see what the problem is,auto-zone will scan it for free.
