It almost sounds like a buzz. I have changed the starter and the alternator that autozone checked and said was bad. I charged the battery over night, and the charger says it is charged. Same thing still fast LOUD clicking or buzzing. It sounds as if the starter is getting plenty of power. The battery does read 12.43 volts.
here is what you have to do next, if your starter id trying on the engine is not turning, This could be a hydrolock. try to turn the engine over by hand, this is done by putting a socket on the front crankshaft nut, if it don't turn forward try to turn it in reverse, If it does lock up one way and not the other, pull your sparkplugs out try to turn over again, if liquid comes out of one cylinder you have a cylinder with either anti freeze or gas that's stopping it, If its antifreeze it will be a head gasket of if its fuel you have a fuel injector stuck open and needs replaced.
Replace your starter solenoid switch! You change this everytime you put in new starter........
