why is my 2004 ford f150 with a 4.2 liter engine sputtering

my truck is sputtering I have already changed the coil plugs and wires and still has a bad miss in it anybody have any advice that would help me out thanks

Isolate the cylinder that's missing and check for compression, I don't remember if that has one coil but if it does make sure you got the wires correct to each cylinder and make sure that wires are not shorted and sparking on the block instead of at the plug

citylife404 thanks for the response I found the problem when I bought the new plugs they where only gaped at .044 and they should have been gaped .054 now the truck runs perfect thanks again
