Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 F150 with a 5.4. my truck died a while back and I replaced the battery and alternator. Its been running fine for months but the battery light is still on. did a fuse or relay trip? The light is just annoying to look at.

Having the "battery light" on usually means the alternator output voltage is not getting to the battery and electrical system. The fusible link at the alternator output cable may have failed. Or the alternator output is not quite enough to power the system. Have it tested where you bought the alternator. Might be a bad one. New ones are more reliable the those remanufactured ones.
