Not sure if this thread is still active but I am removing the 200 c.i. engine from my 1965 Mustang. It was a ground up restoration about 5,000 miles ago. Installing a V8 so the complete powertrain is for sale. Engine, auto trans, rea rend, brakes, exhaust system radiator etc. I have pictures and can send a video of the motor running. Let's start again. I have a 1960 Ranchero my son and i are fixing up. It has a 144/Ford-o-matic 2 sp that does 0-60 by nest Tuesday. I'd like to swap in a 200/C4 combo, but I'm not sure which years will be a direct swap. I guess this is going to be a learning experience for both he and I. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Hi, I do have this engine. It has just been removed from my 65 Mustang Convertible. It was rebuilt about 10 years ago and is fine. Hi - I have three classic Ford Engines: 1) 1968 Ford inline 6Cyl engine - Clean, blue - Pulled from a 1966 Mustang. But the engine code indicates the engine is C8...., so I assume it is actually a 1968. - I do not know of it is a 170 or 200. - I bought this engine and the 1966 Mustang the engine was in back in January of 2017. I drove this engine / car until 2018 when I replaced it with a 289 V8. This engine runs, but... - Must be rebuilt as compression is not at 100%. - Includes many new parts (new spark plugs, new plug wires, new oil filter, air cleaner housing and filter, flex plate, new starter assuming I left it with the engine, etc.). - Does NOT include the carb in the photo. 2) 1962 Ford inline 6Cyl engine - Pulled from a 1962 Ford Falcon. - I do not know of it is a 170 or 200. - Must be rebuilt. 3) 1963 Ford 260 V8 - Must be rebuilt. 4) Also have several Ford Transmissions - 2 Ford C4 automatic trans - A Falcon 3 speed column shift trans - A Falcon 2 speed automatic trans - A 1961 Ford F100 3 speed column shift trans - 1984 Ford 4 Speed AOD trans - 1 6Cyl Bell housing - 2 V8 Bell housings 5) Many, many parts for: - 1962/63 Falcons (chrome, doors for 63 convertible, original 13 inch steel wheels, wire hub caps, tail lights, etc. - 64/65/66 Mustangs (Grilles, AC, bumpers, passenger doors, original steel wheels, trunk lid, etc.) - 61/64 Ford F100 unibody trucks (original fenders, doors, chrome pieces, bumpers, etc.) All parts located in Georgia. Howdy! I have two (2) Ford 200 CI...one out of a 65 Ranchero running but needs to be rebuild, the other out of a 67 mustang that I had rebuilt to put in 65 Ranchero. Found 302 that was rebuilt and went that route. I have two (2) C4 that both need rebuilding. I have all NEW water pump, radiator, fuel pump, etc. for rebuilt 200 CI. Lots of extra parts as one was power steering, the other was A/C. I have 65 4 door Ford Futura A/C car with no rust and has 289 and C4...both needs to be rebuilt. I have a super clean running Inline 170. Brand new carb, pertronix ignition clean running in my car today (62 falcon). I'm seeing to upgrade soon to a T5, but am looking to engine swap for a Inline 200 for the added 30 Foot pounds and about 20 hp. I'm in the Houston Area. If you know of where/who has a clean 200, or for that matter one that i can take to get rebuild anew (do you know of a decent engine shop near houston btw). That's what i'm in the market for. I'd love to do a v8 swap but its just too much involved for me, if someone knew a solid shop with personal experience that has done that i'd consider, but for now a solid 200 is in the radar.
