78 is not a great collector car BUT, this one doesn't look like you will have to put any real money into it. That is a major point. I would guess the reserve is around $4000 and I would guess it is worth that in the condition it is in. With the exception of the 2 seater Birds, the rest just never had a big following and after 1966 they drop off accordingly. Good luck if you get it.

78 was a milestone year- very nice car but the 302 is the smallest engine- the 351W would be the way to go- I would be suspicious of rust in Michigan- buy an Az or Cal car with the 351 and the color you like- they made 350,000 of them- then keep it the rest of your life!
