1959 thunderbird upgrades

Is there a front end suspension upgrade kit to 2000
standards or what doner vehicle would best work
for such a modification ,has drums all the way
around I'd like to go disc and tighten up the
steering ,any suggestions would be appreciated

A disk brake conversion would be a good thing and you should be able to get an aftermarket conversion kit. There is only so much you can do with the front suspension without custom re- engineering but I would look for polyurethane bushings and I would install some good performance shocks. The steering might need to be rebuilt. Anything that old has to be worn and sloppy.
