Will reproduction 15" wire wheels on a 59 Thunderbird work with the skirts in the rear?

Asked by Bogus5099 Jan 30, 2016 at 09:20 AM about the 1959 Ford Thunderbird

Question type: Car Customization

Did a disc brake conversion on the front of my 1959 convertible and will now
need to convert the car to 15" rims.  Willing to buy new wire wheels with radial
wide whitewalls, but would like to know what width wire rims will work and still
be able to use the skirts in the rear

doubtful- those fender skirts don't give much clearance- you would have to measure the new wheels, especially the offset- and the tires- and the actual clearance that those skirts give you- sound like a lot of trouble? it is- why not just keep it stock?
