left turning signal wont blink ligts up right blinks but wont light up

Ok Iam new at this and have to prove to my hubby I can fix my own car...one little problem lift turning signal lights up outside and on dash but does not blink right ligts blinks and lights up outside but not on dash ...help

replace the bulbe,part # 1157,for back bulb,fronr is 1156,check ground,black is always ground,if it blinks on other side and does not blink the green arrow,nothing to worrie about.

I put in all new bulbs that was the first thing I did ...I will check gound next ...thanks will let you know Melba
