Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a 1987 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat. Fair condition, runs fine. It needs a new
rear leaf mount, the oil gasket leaks, and the cab mount sags; but has been
reinforced with wood. Any tips in general about these repairs??

the oil pan gasket on the old Fords like that tend to drip a bit of oil, if you have the 460 it requires loosening motor mounts and lifting motor 6 inches or so to change. not sure on the rest but i imagine same scenario sins its the cross member that is needed to clear. as for the body mounts they are fairly inexpensive i found them on Amazon vary reasonably priced.you will have to gut the interior to get at the bolts.I wouldn't leave the wood under it for long as its not going to hold up for long
