What to do with an old truck

Asked by Snowysfarra Jan 06, 2012 at 12:56 AM about the 1986 Ford F-250

Question type: General

This truck is very clean for it,s age. It has 186,000 miles on it. We rebuilt the tranny between
two to five years ago. Tranny went out again, was told it needed to be replaced. Decided not
to fix the truck. Wondering if I sold it, how much. The motor, a diesel is still strong, seems like
a waste to junk the truck.  I have no idea what to ask for the truck, or any other options for it.
I reside in Washington state.  Thanks, any info much appreciated.

what size engine is the diesel? a 6.9 or a 7.3? I would say it would be worth atleast a 1000 bucks with the tranny bad but where I'm from a truck like that ( I just sold one with a 6.9 ) atleast 1500 to 2200 depends on the shape and buyer andthat is when it runs and drives. Hope I helped you out.

Yes thanks. It is a 6.9 very clean inside and out. It still runs and drives, can't tow anymore as it does not shift.
