Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 89 ford f150 5.0 efi . I read on here
another man was haven the same problems I was
so we unhooked the map sensor and now idles
fine but as soon as we put it in gear we are back to
two footing driving we have checked everything
can you please help.

No I have no way to check codes . So we are trying to do this the old fashion way .
