Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck has a fuel system problem.  After changing my fuel pumps (intank) duel tanks, twice.  It still has a problem.  It just dies like it's out of gas even with both tanks well above half full.  My old mechanic told me after I had gone to several other mechanics that the problem was factory related.  The fuel line somewhere between the tank and the engine is getting too hot, the fuel boils or almost boils causing it to just stop running.  It don't help to switch tanks.  I wait 15 or twenty minutes and it starts right up.  Sometimes it runs great for a week or month, then it does it again.  I have brand new ford fuel pumps in both tanks.  I'm thinking he is right.  What do you think???
thank you,
Darrell Brunet

he could be right,if it was on a car.on a truck the fuel lines run along the backside of the frame, replace fuel filter, bleed air out of fuel system.the lines do not get close enought to heat to boil the gas, lines are metal, check for a pin hole in lines for a leak.
