F-150 4 speed manual. Pulling transmission

The floor board is out and need to remove gear shifter to remove transmission to
replace clutch. Have removed floor board... been told to depress the shifter down
and turn one quarter turn to right....is it that easy?

NO you have to remove the boot from the shifter to gain access to the bolt and holder ,remove the bolt and holder just pull the shifter out,do reverse to put back in.
