Comment to maintenance and repair

Asked by May 28, 2018 at 02:50 PM about the 1979 Ford F-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok bought a 1979 Ford F-150 SB 4x4 in
March. I knew I was going to be working
on it, and new parts as I go. But having to
spend most of my time trying to figure out
why it kept vapor locking was not one.
Problem was runs till things got hot then
shuts down, about 15min. After looking
almost every where and replaced all fuel
and ignition I found the problem. The new
true dual exhaust was run down the driver
side frame about 2 inches from fuel lines
and .25 inches from brake junction. So this
was basically cooking the fuel and brake
fluid.
