Is 400 horse power to much for my 1978 f150 with a 2 in lift with 32in tires?

351M / 400 is a good motor, not excellent, but good in it's day. 400 HP is probably overkill, but it's your money.

Teaching high speed pursuit driving for many years I have to ask why 400 HP in a pickup? Great if you only want to go straight. With the smallest engine you can find in any pick-up you can roll it on it's side while cornering at 40 MPH. Rule on any PD. No pursuit driving in department pickups.
