1978 Ford f-150

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The truck will turn over but will not stay running
unless i keep my foot on the gas. As soon as i let
off of the gas pedal it dies. Any idea what is
wrong?

Is this a carberated truck still ? Could need some carb work. Also check for vacuum leaks

Same thing happened to my 86 Silverado c10. Turns out it was the carb. I just replaced it with a edlebrook 4bbl & solved the problem.
