There is a lot more to a tune up than just plugs and wires. Did you set the proper gap on the plugs? Is there a miss?

Needs a little carb attention. Try running a can of sea foam in the gas and see if it helps. If not, the carb may need a rebuild. The ethanol in new gas is rough on the rubber parts in carbs.

You have a 40 year old truck which sounds like it ran OK until you changed the plugs and wires. I'd check the gap on the plugs first then check the wires. If you bought very inexpensive wires, that could be one of the problems.

Check for vacuum leaks, u may have a brittled vacuum hose that u might've accidentally cracked when u did the spark plugs and make sure u gapped the spark plugs correctly
