1971 Chevy Impala A/C
My 1971 impala blows cold air but vents on the driver side barley blow cold out of them.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?
coulb be something is blocking the vent,or the arm that swings inside the chamber isnt opening the whole way. Hope this helps
Cars this old, mine is a 69 Corvette, will accumulate dead leaves or other stuff in the vents or system. When I rebuilt it, I vacuumed a lot of stuff out. Also the trap doors may be sticking. Make sure they move freely. The wires connecting the vent doors working? The hose may be off or even a hole in the hose connecting to the dash vent. My connection to the dash vent from the hose broke during some restoration and I had to use some NASA glue to fix the vent connector. It is made of 1960 type plastic and is now becoming brittle so if your working under the dash, be careful not to damage them as replacement parts are hard to locate.
Thanks guys! @cali I'm pulling the dash soon to check all the wires and to see if there's any holes in the hoes's. Sacramento summers are super hot and the family refuses to drive with me until I fix the A/C lol. Again thanks this is helpful!

how did you manage to put corvette ralleys on there? My '71 is the large bolt pattern so I had to work with truck ralleys. Dig the racing stripes by the way . . .
A lot of times It's a vacuum line that opens certain doors in the system that has come loose, or leaking. The AC controls seem to be very dependent on all those vacuum lines.
