Beginning in 1981 the Feds standardized VIN's in to 17 digit alpha numeric codes, and sometime later I forget when eliminated zero's and letter "O" to avoid confusion..before that all manufactures had their own system

There are maybe a dozen sites for decoding..not all free. Google "Vehicle VIN decoder" and take your choice.... and look again at yours, there are 12 digits and to the best of my knowledge 60's GM products has 11 digit VIN's. Look on the title or registration, also maybe try swapping zero's for the letter 'O' Best of luck

You Might Have The Wrong Vin# That Number Wouldnt Even Be An Impala. Did You Find It On The Left Front Body Hinge Directly Below The Upper Door Hinge? If You Did Its Definitely Not A Super Sport & Definitely Not An Impala

Your Answer:

Impala
