1985 Chevy cavalier

I have a 1985 Chevy cavalier automatic. I
went out to warm it up and when I put it in
reverse it dies and now it will turn over but
won't stay running.

Could be the ignition control module, you can have that tested at a parts store, or you may have lost fuel pressure that you would have to check with a gauge.
