well it just depends on what you have. if you have a caprice classic landau coupe, they made 9,607, if you have a regular 2 door coupe, they made 62,366, if you have the 4 door sedan, they made 212,840, if you have a caprice 6 passenger estate wagon, they made 22,930, and last if you have a caprice 9 passenger estate wagon, they made 33,639. I also have a caprice, its a 84 sedan. I too was thinkin bout turning it into a show car, if i were you i would only modify it with easy application or bolt on parts, and keep all the original parts you take off, just so if you ever wanted to go back to stock you wont be stuck with a custom car just for your likings, leave the interior stock, leave it all stock, if you gonna turn it into a donk, use bolt on lift kits just so you can go back if you want. Basically dont destroy the integrity of the car, in the future you will be glad u did. Oh btw, a 1977 caprice in any of the models i listed above are very rare, super hard to find, im currently trying to buy one, its very hard. I hope i helped.

they made millions of these cars, far from rare
