the car got hot and now it won't start Why

Hi elr! I will include a link to a good no-start guide at teh end of this answer but given the overheating issue you mentioned I am going to guess that the head is warped. Severe overheating, even once can fatally damage the head in your engine and the fix is expensive. Have a mechanic check the integrity of your head before you spend another dime on the car.
