I have a 1994 Corvette with door jam switch issues. If the battery dies and the new switch won't work is it a computer issue?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have had issues with my door jam switch driver side on my 1994, the lights won't go out killing the battery. The first time I put a new switch in it worked fine for about three weeks, So I put on another one and it won't work. Would any of this problem have to do with the computer from the battery dying and have to be recharged? The car was dead for weeks....
