1967 bicayne and 1967 impala tail lights

Asked by Feb 01, 2017 at 09:45 PM about the 1967 Chevrolet Biscayne

Question type: Car Customization

Is it possible to take the two tail light assembly out
of a 1967 biscayne and replace them with the 3
light assembly from a 1967 impala? I'm trying to
make a Supernatural Tribute car with a 1967
biscayne. Thanks!

The wiring harness going to the bulbs is different and the bulbs are different. You'll need the wiring harness to go with the taillight assemblies. HTH. -Jim

Looking at my '67 Factory Shop Manual the '67 Impala and Caprice taillights were the same. So the doner car can be a Caprice. That should make your search a little easier. Bel-Air and Biscayne were different from the Impala and Caprice. HTH. -Jim

But the unit as a whole will fit without any metal fabircation? So pretty much different bulbs and wiring and the lights can come from a caprice or impala? I know where there are used ones for 25.00 that are in amazing shape. Just don't want to buy them if I will have to cut a bigger hole.

No, the holes will be the same. The taillight configuration is different but the assembly itself is the same. HTH. -Jim

Awesome thank you so much! Greatly appreciated!
