'91 Camry not starting, replaced the Battery, Starter, and the Alternator
So, my '91 Toyota Camry had just stopped starting a few days prior to this
asking. I've replaced the Alternator, the Starter, and the Battery, but the car
still won't start. What could be the bigger problem here?
The electrical's turn on fine, lights, radio, dash lights, even the radiator fan's
are turning on.
Do you hear the fuel pump kick on?
I do hear a click. I also hear the starter pin push.
The click is probably the starter. The fuel pump would be more of a whine. Check your fuel pump fuse and check the fuel pressure.
I'll have to give that a check, I'll let you know what the results are.
So, it's the next day, and I checked the fuel pump. I do hear a faint whine coming from the car, as far as checking for fuel pressure, I don't have a means of doing such a thing. I'll be having a mobile mechanic come to take a look and see what could be causing the car not to start. Thanks for your help though!
Thanks for following up. Best of luck
Update a couple days later: The car starts, traced some connections ,tightened them, replaced the serpentine bt around my new alternator. Car runs like a dream now! :D
Good to hear that it’s up and running.
