Overdrive will not work how do I get it to work ?

Most times that is the first gear to wear on automatic. The fix is to replace, and 99% that means a full rebuild. A trans shop will be able to give you more info and a diagnosis. I suggest you limp the car along till you have enough money to buy another. A rebuild will cost you around $2K, way more than you want to put into a 23 year old car.
