What's the biggest tire you can place on a 96 land cruiser?

Can 15R radial tires fit on a 1996 land cruiser that normally uses 16R?  I have a set
of 15R tires on my old jeep (not working now) which would look great on the land
cruiser.

The 15" tires will affect yr consumption and yr speedo! The engine will be running at higher revs - more fuel - for the same speed and the speedo will be out too! The biggest tires I have seen are 850x16's used commonly in Bots for sand running and the delta -mostly hunting Cruisers!
