Car starts up then Turns off

Question type: General

I have a 96 Toyota Camry... the car starts then turns off
right away... there’s no check engine light on or anything...
to get it to start I give it gas and stays on... after it’s warm
the car rides smooth... it’s just when it’s cold or sits over
night... just trying to get a sense of the problem of anyone
can help

I should not be necessary to press the gas pedal to start the car cold or warm. The EGR sensor may have gone bad. I would not mess with if it starts that way and runs fine.

IAC ? coolant sensor ? test or replace , clean IAC port , spray some carb cleaner down the throttle
