After resetting the check engine lite on 2002 Tundra reconnecting the battery the horns start blaring and the clutch cancel lite blinks.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Tundra and I got an engine check light. I followed the battery disconnect to reset but when I went to reconnect the battery the horns started blaring and the clutch cancel switch light started blinking. So I disconnected the horns but the engine would not start and the clutch start cancel kept blinking as well as the outside lights.  What's the possible problem and or how do I resolve it

Sounds like you set off the anti theft system. Disconnect positive side of battery for 5 to 10 minutes. If this doesn't work disconnect both sides of battery (be sure both away from battery) touch them together for a few seconds. Then reconnect to battery. Make sure doors are closed and keys are not in ignition. Also could look for alarm fuse. Let me know if this works. Thanks
