2002 tacoma changed battery everything works but doesn't turn over. turn on key and flashers begin clicking but truck is dead

Was your truck equipped with Locktronics? If so, then you need that in order to turn off the immobilizer. However what you're describing also may be a failed starter (they do tend to fail, and they act like what you're describing). If you have the 2RZ/3RZ the starter is under the intake manifold and can be accessed by taking the driver wheel off of the truck. Good luck.

Most likely your Starter is gone, solenoid or brushes wore out. Remuve and replace, exchange Oreilly or Auto Zone or Rebuild it. Best to you Arad
