Should I be responsible for new car issue after leaving delalership?

Asked by Ricardo Jun 06, 2020 at 10:25 AM about the 2005 Toyota Prius

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I went to dealership ship because my check
engine light came on. They diagnosed the
issue and I agreed to have it fix. Once I left
dealership I got a light indicator on my dash
board letting me there is a problem. Took it
back the next morning and they did another
diagnostic test and now there saying there’s
another issue going on but they need to dig
further on what’s going on. Should I be
responsible for this new issue?

A used car is usually sold as is. If you have a warranty they should fix it or they may do it as a good will gesture.

Sounds like they misdiagnosed the problem the first time. I'd ask for a credit towards the second service visit! Hope that helps! Jim
