It does not cost $960 to put on a new condenser and re-charge system. Whenever the condenser is changed, it should have a new drier/receiver also, part of the job. But that is still not $1k for that. You are so right FordNut that is an out rages price to pay if that is all they did that is why I asked what exactly did they have done it has to be more then what they are saying for that price.

Hey FordNut you may get mad with me again about what I am going to say but the questions that we answer on this forum people are just trying to get some suggestions about how to fix their vehicles . I think we may have hurt this persons feelings telling them they payed to much for something I am quite sure they feel bad enough already knowing they payed to much so that is why I am retracting my answer saying they may have payed to much but just try to help them with their problem to the best of my knowledge.

Mechanics, even dealers, can and do rip-off all the time, especially women. She needs to know that. How else would she know if we didn't inform her?
