How undo seat belt to remove cargo barrier Toyota Corolla Ascent station wagon

I'm trying to take the cargo barrier out of our Corolla Ascent station wagon. But can't figure
out how to release the rear seat seat belt that has been threaded through the provided
hole in the barrier.

There is a clip at the seat base level but I can't see how to release it to disengage the belt.

There is usually a security button that needs hit along with the latch button. Do you still have the owner's manual?

Problem solved. The trick is to push in the little white item in the space on the side of the buckle (see facing up in attached pic. We just used a car key to push it in, and the buckle popped open.
