I would think that Main power source to ignition system is not being turned off by the switch. I would check ignition related relays. If a relay is bad and the contacts are stuck closed it could cause this sort of issue. Just a thought.

has someone rewired your alterntor? wait hei? maybe you need to check some wiring

Stock hei and wenr through the wires to alt but I replaced it with a stock one
