Chevy silverado c/k 1500 1995 overheating

I have changed the thermastat water pump
and fan clutch but truck still over
heats....temp gage is at 240 when driving
and 260 when stoped what could the
problem be ......i do need to replace the rear
trans seal but dont think that would make
the motor over heat

Maybe a clogged radiator flush with a good cooling system flush or radiator fins clogged with dirt and bugs restricting air flow clean with garden hose and spray nozzle.

Check for a blown head gasket. If you've been running it at 240 and 260 degrees then it's most likely blown by now. The parts stores have testers for this

LoL SBC don't blow head gaskets that easily. Does the truck have the proper shroud around the fan? Some think it's ugly and get rid of it. When you replaced the water pump, are you positive you got the correct one? SBC use a reverse flow water pump on the vortec engine. Your parts guy could have inadvertently given you one not knowing. Does it have groves on the pulley or is it smooth? Smooth are reverse flow. If you put a standard water pump on a block that has the serpentine set up for a reverse flow your impeller won't push the water through the engine. It will just cavitate there or some technical term. Any ways, make sure you got the right one for the belt setup your running.
