1997 S10 4x4 4.3l, no start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Pulled motor to repair leaks!! Installed motor and tried to start, and I have no
power!! I have power from the battery to alternator but their is no power to
ignition!! Hooked up starter and I now wonder wether there are 3wires that
have to be connected or are there only 2??

in 1997 the large wire to the back of the alternator has the wire from the battery but also has the power wire that feeds the distrubition block on the firewall fender area on the driver side you failed to put it on or popped the fusible link that is in the circuit

I did exactly that and it now has power and te engine runs fine!! Thank you for your help!!
