Is my rear end going out or brake/caliper problems?

Asked by GuruBKLN Apr 10, 2017 at 10:35 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet C/K 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my truck when at a stop and turning to the right feels like my calipers are not
releasing and my back end of my truck feels like its hopping. Even when I put
it in reverse it still has problems. It does it when I turn to the left just not as
bad. So I don't know if it's a brake problem or rear end problem.

There are drum brakes on the rear. You will have to pull the wheels and the drums to know for sure if it is in the rear differential.
