Recently replaced the alternator on my 2001 Chevy S-10 pick up. Volt meter says the battery is charging up just as it should, but my battery light on the dash continues to come on for several seconds/up to a minute and then go off for up to a minute, then back on again etc. Everything seems to be functioing properly, but it sure would be great to have that light working as it should since it coming on was what alerted me to the need for a new alternator in the first place.
