Problem with 4WD system, DUH! Get an OBDII scan tool (they’re not too expensive for lower-end ones) and scan the car for codes. That’ll tell you where to start.

We have same issue, 3 different Honda service centres can’t fix it. As soon as we drive away light is back on VTM light and emission light(?) came on and vibrated the vehicle (on dry paved road) We took the vehicle into Grand Forks HONDA and spent $1000 but enroute to Winnipeg the lights came back on. The next day we took it to HONDA in Winnipeg and they said it was another problem and they could order the part. My husband decided to get another opinion and went to Steinbach today and was paid $260 to fix problem. Driving home all lights are back on! He turned around and they said oh for another $600 we can fix this VTM problem. I’m so frustrated. Do mechanics ever look under the hood and diagnose an issue or is everything strictly by “error code”? Because 4 visits and 4 different suggestions - we’ll be broke. 2011 Honda Pilot ex

Anyone figure thus out we have a 2007. Just blew the radiator and had a new one put in.. Could this be a leak in the head gasket? Because our mechanic told us that’s a possibility.

Check to EGR valve - my check engine light and VTM4 light would only go off when I had a full tank of gas. This led me to believe it was in the EGR Valve, and, poof!, all is well again. Might be your problem too.

I was looking into this and google said it might be that the tire Pressure is not even on all the tires

if your battery connections are properly tight and your tire have thesame pressure then try to air bleed your radiator, and in air bleeding your radiator you need to use a funnel that exactly fits the radiator filler neck, and let the engine running and you have to turn your heater on a maximum and then rev the engine up to 2500 rpm. And when you see that there are no more bubbles coming out of the funnel and the engine is really turn it off and then re start the engine and hopefully the VTM-4 warning light is off.....

VTM-4 light was on on my 2008 honda pilot 4wd a few weeks ago i did a radiator replacement due to a massive leak of transmission fluid,it seems that the radiator is related to the pressure of the transmission fluid, long story short a few days later my VTM-4 light came on and every time i stop on a light or a stop sign the car start doing like a rattle sound or missfire feel,so what i did i call one of my friends that works on a acura dealer so he suggest me to put the car on drive and turn off the engine while the car is moving i did it at 5mph a couple of times in a safe area and it works the light and missfire went off the car runs nice and smooth i hope these help someone with the same issue good luck
