07 honda crv 250,00 miles

Asked by palabeco May 23, 2018 at 04:01 PM about the 2007 Honda CR-V

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Serpentine belt keeps coming off, there is also a noise coming from the area,
not sure where, may be the water pump because I was told a year ago it had a
slow leak. With 250,000 miles on it an no other major issues, should I have it
repaired?

Those things last forever; if there's no other issues then I would definitely replace the water pump. When the belt is on, watch the belt travel around each pulley and if one is moving; there's your issue. Usually idler and tensioner pullies are the first to fail and cause these issues.

If you like the car then fix it. I would also look at the idler wheel in case it is worn out.
