07 Honda CRV Overheating

Asked by Morgaine1985 Sep 25, 2019 at 08:29 AM about the 2007 Honda CR-V

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have replaced the radiator and that seemed to
work for about a week but now its overheating
again. You will feel the car physically jerk back
after being overheated long. What are suggestions
on what needs to be replaced?

When an engine overheats, it's rarely caused by a defective radiator. My guess is that new coolant caused to engine to run better for a week, while the problem persisted. Most likely cause of your car overheating is a broken water pump or a worn out thermostat. Replace the thermostat, as that's really cheap, and see if that corrects the heat problem. If not, check the water pump.
