84 bronco help.

i'm wanting to buy an 84 bronco for someone i met and was curious as to what i need to look out for so i buy a good truck ad not a lemon. any suggestions?

84,how many miles,is probely worn out.look for a newer modle vehicle,the V6 engines in the old bronco were junk.

actually it has a newer 289 with about 115k on it so its not the original 302 but i saw a bunch of people posting about throttle link probs and didnt know if they would still apply with it having a 289 in it.

the 289 was halted in production in the late 70,s.I would stay away from this one.
